Thursday : August 4, 2005 [school activities]
This is the first that I will meet my home-stay student, so excited!! I went to RAJINIBON school (my former school since kindergarten!! 14 years here ^O^). When they arrived, I've to spend lots of time seeking!! Coz I had no idea who she was. Finally I found her, Nakamura Yuki, she comes from Kitakyushuu the same city I've been living when I was in Japan.

ps. I made this poster for the first day at the airport, unfortunately, they were already on the bus when I found them. T_T What a pity!!

#3 [Japanese students with host families]

After the ceremony and speeches, we hadbreakfast (again!) together then I took her to the class 5/3. The French lesson was pretty hard, coz' both Yuki and I don't study French, though. - -" Then we took Social class, this was much better. In the evening, there was 'Singing Contest' held so they enjoyed being dancer!!
Then my dad and granma picked her up at school. Yuki were going to stay with us for 2 days then she gotta go back to hotel.
Friday : August 5, 2005 [school activities]
I didn't go to school today, gotta go to Chulalongkorn University (it's like Tokyo University or Todai) because I'm only one of two university students in the whole Thai students!. Today we dined out!! My dad have already reserved the table on the boat at Dairy Queen restuarant (the nearest and the best restuarant nearby)located nearChaopraya River--the main and the biggest river in Thailand which extremely has influence on Thai Culture and our way of life. We had lots of Thai cuisine and exchange lots of stories! I met "Tan", a Rajinibon student, whoalso took her Japanese girl, Azusa-chanhere, too! Before we came back, my family gave her presents and took photos together.

Then we had a little Birthday party for me ^O^ (actually my birthday is on August 23, though - -")

Saturday : August 6, 2005 [Bangkok sight-seeing]
I took Yuki-chan to the Emerald Queen Park Hotel, located in Sukumvit 22 by 11 a.m. After we gathered in a group, we went to Twin Tower Hotel to have lunch. It was a buffet with a large number of delicious Thai cuisine. I ate and ate a lot and so did Fah, my Rajinibon friend since kindergarten!!

Then we visited the Grand Palace (= Oukyu)and the Emerald Buddha, It's build in the time of Rama I--the first King in 'Jakkri Dynasty'. Due to its beauty in Thai and Western architecture, there's always LOADS of tourism here. If you haven't got a chance to come here, you can't say that you've already been to BKK. Luckily, we've tourist guide with us so I didn't have to translate into Japanese on my own. ThenI showed her around the temple taking a stoll. Unfortunately, some part of the building were under reconstruction.

Then we went to 'Ta Prajan Pier' near Thammasart University-the well-known university after Chulalongkorn. There're lots of yummy food and goods sold. We took a boat ride to 'Wat Arun' (Akatsuki O-tera)

Wat Arun (Wat = tera) is located on the other side of Chaopraya River, build in the time of Rama III. It's Chinese architecture, all of the temple was made and decorated by Chinese crockeries (plates and dishes).

After that we took a ride to 'River Hotel' where our buses were waiting. We went shopping at Central World Plaza,a huge department store at Pra Tuu Nam. There's always crowded with foreigners. Then Fah, Art and I said goodbye to the Japanese coz' we were going home by BTS(skytrain in BKK)together. Unfortunately, Fah felt dizzy and uncomfortable due to the too much buffet lunch. She got a taxi home alone. (Next morning she told me that she had thrown up in taxi O.o)
Sunday: August 7, 2005 [Kanchanaburi (Kanchanaburi-ken)]
Today we were going to have a long journey to Kanchana Buri. Kanchana Buri is the western province (= ken) of Thailand with the boader to Myanmar. There is Thanonthongchai Mount--the longest mountain in Thailand--as a natural boundary. It rarely rains here, so we grow industrial cropssuch as cornor sugar cane (= satokibi) for sugar industries.
#25 [On the bus with Aya-chan ^O^]

First we visited 'JEATH Museum', there are stories and events about World War II such as illustration of people and soldiers who died whilebuilding Death Railway, diseases and war history, etc. How depressed!!
Then we arrived at Kwai River--the main river in Kanchana Buri. Before catching a train, we went shopping and taking photos.
